As someone who has always believed in board and train programs for my puppies, I fully intended to sign my new puppy, Berty, up once I did my research on Sit Means Sit.

During my initial consultation with Wes, he completely changed my mind. I never realized the importance of not only the dog being trained, but the owner as well. I chose to put Berty through the Day Train program (every Tuesday for three weeks) and it was not only the best decision I could have made for her, but for me as well.

The dedicated time Wes and River spent with her the first day of the training session was a game changer. At pick up time, “pawrents“ go through an hour long session as well. I couldn’t believe the results for both of us in just one session.

Over the next two weeks, Berty completely transformed. I was also transformed as I now understood the importance of my participation in her training. She went from a puppy that had two modes, chaos or coma, to a puppy who actually listened, acted and felt comfortable doing do.

The best take away for me was your passion for training dogs to be their best and educating me as an “pawrent” to know that it’s not a perfect process… to have fun with your pup. To always keep them moving, but when the time presents itself, sit really does mean sit!

Wow! What a great experience. Never did i think my chihuahua could do all that he has learned. Between how clean and professional the space and staff is. My dog and I just finished our Foundations one on one lessons and I couldn’t be happier! During the training sessions not only did my dog learn new skills, but I learned how to better communicate with my dog, making the training process that much smoother. LOLA loves them! The training is fantastic, with clear instruction and guidance from the very first minute. The instructors are caring and genuinely committed to making sure the owner fully understands everything needed to get the most out of the classes. The follow-up between sessions is essential—and it truly happens. The instructors check in via messages to ensure we don’t have any unanswered questions. Wes and River were outstanding during the individual sessions, and Mike was incredibly helpful in the group class, teaching us new commands and giving clear guidance. Before Max was old enough for training, I spoke with several trainers, but none felt like the right fit. Sit Means Sit stood out as the only company that followed up by setting a reminder to contact me when Max turned 3 months old. After a Zoom consultation with Wes, his positive energy, helpfulness, and expertise convinced me to sign up right away. Max and I have already gained so much from Sit Means Sit. Before starting training, Max was hesitant to climb on anything and didn’t enjoy playing at the dog park. After just two sessions with Mike, my rescue puppy has made incredible progress. We had never had an actual trainer work with us or our pets and what a difference after the first week. Going on week 3 and the ability to communicate with our German has changed significantly.
